The Divine Miss M! Bette Midler returned to New York City’s infamous Madison Square Garden for a series of shows from 25th to 29th of June, singing some classic cuts.

Her first tour in ten years, she’s entertaining the crowds with her classic songs from the 1972 The Divine Miss M album and more. Not only does Midler sound brilliant, she looks as sensational as ever. The well-rehearsed star might have made a few cracks about her age during her performances, but she most certainly did not look or act it!

In a career spanning nearly half a century, Midler has been nominated for two Academy Awards. She’s also won three Grammy Awards, four Golden Globes, three Emmy Awards, and a special Tony Award. With a massive list of accomplishments behind her, she should by now (we would have thought) be looking rather tired. However, Miss M is showing no signs of slowing down! What’s her secret? Let’s take a closer look at how the 69 year old maintains her fabulous physique.

Facials

During the summer months, the combination of heat, humidity and sunscreen can wreak havoc on your skin. The heat can also cause your skin to be oilier leading to blackheads and breakouts. A facial is a great way to ensure your skin stays fresh, deeply cleansed and hydrated. During this time, it’s essential to increase the frequency of your facials (every two weeks is recommended) to keep up with the weather.

Image Skincare Products

Bette Midler is a well-known fan of the Image skincare brand. Image has a variety of products for your various skincare needs. Maintaining A Healthy Diet

Everyone knows the importance of a healthy diet, however not everyone is aware of the direct impact your diet has on your skin. As you age, your skin loses its elasticity. To combat this and maintain a supple, glowing complexion, ensure you have a diet rich in Vitamins A, C and E. Fresh fish, raw nuts, seeds and vegetables should keep your skin looking fresh just like Middler’s. Fresh fruit is also beneficial, but try to avoid any foods with processed sugar.

A Consistent Night Time Regimen

Follow a night time regimen and stick to it; remove make up (if necessary), cleanse, tone, and finish by applying a night time serum and heavier moisturizer. Why? Your skin’s permeability increases while you sleep and can subsequently absorb the action ingredients more efficiently.
