Tea Time!

Our clients love the refreshing taste of our cucumber water, but now that cooler weather has arrived we are expanding our beverage options and bringing back, “Tea Time”. The health benefits of tea are no secret. In fact, the benefits associated with tea have been circulating for centuries. Today studies confirm the benefits, unfortunately our lust for coffee drowns out this scientific evidence.

When was the last time you opted for a cup of tea over a cup of Joe? If you can’t remember you’re not alone. Our addiction to coffee suppresses the desire to drink tea. Not to worry, Skin Bar NYC is a coffee free zone. When we offer you a hot beverage you can be sure that it’s organic, hand-picked and healthy for your skin and body. Oh, and if you need a boost of caffeine we have you covered, with a green tea boost!

Here are some interesting facts that might convince you to go green and make tea your beverage of choice:

Going Green:
• A recent Harvard study confirmed the health benefits of green tea. Green tea is more powerful than vitamins A and E in halting damage to cells. This benefits the skin and your major organs and offers protection from various forms of cancer.
• 45%-65% in hypertension risk for regular consumers of green tea or black tea.
• Green Tea protects your skin from the dangerous effects of UV radiation. Green tea has been proven to reduce inflammation in the skin.

Perfectly Peppermint:
• Not only is peppermint tea delicious to drink it is packed with health benefits. Peppermint is a natural stress reliever and digestive aid.
• Peppermint tea is organic and caffeine free for folks that have sensitive sleeping patterns.
• Leave the chewing gum at home. Peppermint tea is a natural breathe freshener.

So, come by a little early for your next appointment and enjoy a healthy cup of green tea or herbal peppermint tea. It’s the perfect compliment to your beauty regimen!
