Give Your Facial A Boost: Why We Love Add-ons

Every year, at Skin Bar NYC, we give our members more than $600 of added value through our monthly member benefits. And once a year we double our monthly member benefit. This month we are giving free add-ons with every service to our skin members. We love add-ons, because they can really enhance a cosmetic service, whether it’s a facial or a laser treatment.

What’s an add-on anyway?

Add-ons are enhancements added to your regular service, like a facial or laser treatment. Add-ons are suggested by your skintician after your skin is cleansed and evaluated under the magnification lamp. Our skin changes every day. One day our skin condition may be dry and dehydrated and the following week the pores might be clogged and in need of extractions. Whatever extra attention your skin needs can be achieved with add-ons.

An add-on does not require extra time as your skintician mixes it right into your regular service. There are many add-ons to choose from like extractions, peels, pure oxygen boosts and collagen boosts just to name a few. Whatever your skin needs there is an add-on for that!

Are Add-ons worth the money?

Add-ons are pretty inexpensive. At Skin Bar NYC, our add-ons cost between $10 and $40 each. Most clients opt for 1 add-on per facial, but some clients like 2 or 3. Add-ons are a great way to boost results post laser or calm sensitive skin after a facial.

I am always asked for tips on how to make the post facial glow last longer. Without a doubt the best way to extend the results of any facial is to take your skintician’s advice and have an add-on. The added nourishment, hydration and extra attention is sure to extend the life of your results. And it will only cost you a few extra dollars.

A few of our most popular add-ons.

My personal favorite is the Pumpkin Peel. An all-natural, organic blend of pumpkin enzymes that gently exfoliates and hydrates the skin simultaneously. The pumpkin peel add-on is perfect when you feel like your skin is dull and in need of some serious brightening.

Boosters are an awesome and inexpensive way to jump start to any facial or peel. Boosters are potent serums that can be mixed directly into your peel or masque for, well, a boost. Choose Kojic Acid a natural skin lightener for dullness, or Hyaluronic Acid the natural occurring substance in our bodies responsible for our skins elasticity. A Retinol serum booster can be added for a more potent exfoliation and our newest addition, plant stem cells that promote tissue renewal. These guys will only set you back $10, but they go a long way in promoting healthy skin.

Add-ons are a great way to extend the life of your post facial glow. But, you don’t have to take my word for it. This month members will enjoy a free add-on recommended by your skintician for each of your services. Enjoy this month’s benefit and you be the judge.
